Preach.Dear Glee Fandom:
Stop what you’re doing and listen.
Listen to the first few harmonies of an all too familiar song. Of an anthem that’s close to your heart. The melody that started it all.
Remember how your heart skipped a beat when Finn began to sing, or when Rachel belted out her first few chords? Remember how you automatically felt that much happier? Remember when Glee was about opening yourself up to joy? When it allowed us to accept ourselves, accept others, and maybe change our close-minded views on the world?
Remember when it dared us to dream?
Remember the smile that spread across your face every time an episode of Glee aired, whether it was new or a re-run? Remember when you felt pain and happiness and pride for each character, because this show means so much more to you than anyone could imagine?
Remember when this show gave you hope? When it gave you courage? When it gave you strength? Remember when everyone was happy, because we could just open ourselves up to that joy and embrace our individuality?
Glee is more than a show. It’s a gateway to so many opportunities, because it’s allowed you to open doors for yourself. When we fight, we’re not being Gleeful. Glee is so much more than who may become a regular, who may get together, who may sing what solo.
Glee is about opening yourself up to joy. Remember that?
I am most definitely a Gleek.
Glee is a piece of shit show. Everyone on the show needs to get on a school bus and let a serial killer bus driver to drive them all off the cliff. Oh Jolly! Let them sing while they descend to their death.
